Washington, DC – February 23, 2016 – Longevity Consulting has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office Grants and Acquisition Policy and Accountability (OGAPA), Division of Acquisition (DA) to provide meeting and conference support for HHS Category Management Laboratory Support Services Industry Forum. Longevity will coordinate all logistics that will include, but not be limited to, web-based meeting registration, meeting promotion, event logistics management, ad hoc reports, and summary reports.
The Department of Health & Human Services, Category Management Industry Forum on Laboratory Support Services is part of its market research in preparation for establishing a new contracting vehicle for laboratory supplies, equipment and testing services. In FY 13, HHS spent almost $600M on laboratory support services across the Department. HHS expects to award one or more Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs), possibly against GSA Schedules to support this requirement. In establishing this solution, HHS is seeking a win-win partnership with industry that limits the burden on their suppliers and small businesses.
