Washington, DC – May 27, 2016 – Longevity Consulting announced today that it has been awarded the Teacher Incentive Fund (TIF) Peer Review contract by the United States Department of Education (ED). This task order is Firm Fixed-Price, and is valued over $575,000.00. Longevity Consulting has been awarded multiple task orders under this Blanket Purchasing Agreement (BPA).
On this task order, Team Longevity will provide a wide variety of event logistics support for an on-site grant competition in the DC area. Work efforts include, but are not limited to: Screening applications, selecting monitors and panel reviewers, and creating competition panels. Additionally, Team Longevity will provide administrative support as well as onsite review logistics to include: Hotel selection, technology and A/V coordination, meeting room setup, travel coordination, and distribution of honoraria to panel monitors and reviewers.
It is expected that the Department will receive approximately 150 applications, requiring 90 non-Federal reviewers and 20 non-Federal alternate reviewers, as well as 30 non-Federal panel monitors, and five non-Federal alternates. In addition, the Department is anticipating 30 panels which will require three non-Federal reviewers and one non-Federal panel monitor for each.
The TIF program was created to support the development and implementation of sustainable performance-based compensation systems for teachers, principals, and other personnel in high-need schools as a way to increase educator effectiveness and student achievement.
“We have extensive experience in providing peer review support for the U.S. Department of Education, and we are elated to support ED once again. As a company, we have a lot of respect for local school systems, and those in the teaching field. Anything we can do to give back to the local community means a lot to us – particularly supporting efforts to increase student achievement,” said Longevity President and Chief Executive Officer Bobby Long.
